Mt. Hood Adventure works closely with three whitewater outfitters. Imperial River Company, High Desert River Outfitters on the Deschutes River and Zollers Outdoor Odysseys on the White Salmon River in Washington.
High Desert River Outfitters
The Deschutes River is world-famous for its rapids! Come experience its beauty and thrills. This river is perfect for the beginning rafter all the way up to a seasoned veteran.
The office for High Desert River Outfitters is located only 45 minutes away from Mt. Hood Adventure, in Maupin, Oregon. All times listed for trips are when you should be at the HDRO shop in Maupin. You can take the short drive yourself or arrange a shuttle to do the driving for you. Let us know which day you would like to take a trip and we will make all the reservations for you.

A whitewater rafting trip down the beautiful Deschutes River with Imperial River Company is a ride you won’t soon forget. When you raft with Imperial, you get a hassle-free guided trip; a delicious grilled lunch, and experienced, friendly guides. Yes, we raft down the same river as everyone else, but by putting in at our own private launch we avoid the rush-hour traffic. Speaking of our own private launch…you have to come experience everything else Imperial River Company has to offer. After you get off the river, be sure to stop by the lodge for a riverfront meal prepared using local ingredients, or a cold drink in the courtyard. Want to hit two of the best rapids on the Deschutes and fit a great whitewater adventure into your vacationing schedule? The Frenzy Five is the trip for you. After you check in at the lodge, we’ll shuttle you up to the put in at Harpham Flat, then you’ll float through Wapinitia and Boxcar and take out at the lodge. You won’t find a faster and more active stretch of water on this section of the Deschutes.
Zollers Whitewater Odeysseys on the White Salmon River
$70 per person for 1-5 people
$65 per person for 6-12 people
$60 per person for 13+ people
Children 12 and under $50
7.85 miles, 2-2.25 hrs river time, Rating Class 3-4. The White Salmon has some of the best sections of river around. This is a very fun trip and a great alternative to the Deschutes.
GENERAL INFORMATION
Reservations and CXL Policy
A Reservation Form is required for each trip and a Liability Release is required for each person. A credit card is required to hold the reservation. Trips may be cancelled up to 24 hours before departure. After 24 hours the credit card will be charged for the balance due.
Children under 18 years must have a Liability Release signed by Parent or Guardian.
Children must weigh at least 50 lbs to fit into the life jacket.
Things to Know
Bring: swim suits or shorts, sunglasses with straps, sunscreen, tennis shoes with tight laces or sandals, sun hat or visor, plastic water bottle (no glass), change of clothes (for drive home), and a waterproof camera
Imperial River Company and High Desert River Outfitters have shops at their office if you forget anything. They will also have photos of your rafting experience in their shop at the end of the trip.
